Charis holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (Hons), majoring in Marketing. She was previously attached to a training company as a managing consultant and full-time trainer where she specializes in the understanding and the usage of personality and psychological preferences for corporate, team, individual and organizational development. She is a Certified Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and NLP Practitioner and is a Certified Professional Trainer with the Malaysian Institute of Management (MIM-CPT) and PSMB (Pembangunan Sumber Malaysia Berhad).
Charis started her career as a Key Account Executive and was subsequently promoted to Account Manager after doubling the sales within one year. She was consistently one of the top performing salesperson, hence was subsequently given a bigger role as a Corporate Sales Manager overseeing both Malaysia and Singapore.
Charis has experience in the areas of key account management, corporate sales and marketing since 1997 in industries such as retail and consultancy. As such, she specializes in consultative selling, concept selling, key account management and customer servicing. In her career, she has also led teams of people including salespersons, administrative staff etc. She has a passion in the area of grooming of young managers from executive level to managerial level, sales management and professional selling skills.
In her capacity as a trainer, Charis has trained companies such as Ericsson, Wyeth, Ace Synergy, Coca-cola, Cycle and Carriage, Exact Software, Berjaya General Insurance, Malakoff, Denso, Raleigh International, SEH, Sunrise Berhad, Merck, Informatics, Bristol Myers Squibb, Shell IT, Aquaria, MBF, Sanofi Pasteur and German Malaysian Institute.
