Charis holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (Hons), majoring in Marketing. She is
currently the Managing Director of Brainwave Consultants Sdn Bhd, a training and
consultancy company. She was previously attached to a training company as a managing
consultant and full time trainer where she specializes in the understanding and the usage of
personality and psychological preferences for the use of corporate, team, individual and
organizational development. She is also certified in the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI),
PPA Profiling for DiSC, Harrison Assessments Practitioner, Savillewave Assessment, EQ-I,
EQ360 and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). In addition, Charis is also a Certified
Associate Coach by ICF-ACSTH Associate Certified Coach Program and Certified Professional
Trainer (CPT) by Malaysian Institute of Management and PSMB (Human Resources
Development Funds Malaysia).
Charis started her career as a Key Account Executive and was subsequently promoted to
Account Manager after doubling the sales within one year. She was consistently one of the
performing salesperson, hence was subsequently given a bigger role as a Corporate Sales
Manager overseeing both Malaysia and Singapore. Upon promotion, Charis initially struggled
in the area of people management although she was a top salesperson. This prompted a
lasting curiosity on people and team management, both self and others. As such, Charis now
combines her 20 years of corporate experience in sales and training to create practical,
highly interactive and experiential programs focusing on self-awareness and leadership for
young managers.
